MYRTLE BEACH, SC :: The second week of the NASCAR “Whelen All-America Series” saw Sam Yarbrough of Shallotte, NC repeat his appearance in Victory Lane Saturday night. The Chad McCumbee owned car fought off the challenges of Darlington’s Jamie Weatherford and the car of current track Champion Anthony Anders. Sam Yarbrough’s two wins gives him the points lead as he seeks a second Myrtle Beach Speedway NASCAR points title at the historic track. Following Yarbrough to the checkered flag were Weatherford, Anders Bobbie June and Barry Andrews. The top three were impounded and a post-race inspection was conducted for several specific items. The three were found In compliance with the rules after the inspection was completed.
Justin Milliken saw he’s night end with a torn-up race car as Jake Engle got into him along the back straight and both cars were sidelined.
Next event will be Saturday night May 4th featuring Mini-Stocks, the PALM Chargers and the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Models. Race time is 8:00 PM with practice starting at 5:30 PM.
