RANDLEMAN, NC :: Ryan Wilson’s points lead stands at 22 points at Caraway Speedway after starting second and finishing third on Saturday night. Wilson led several laps before ultimately finishing third.
“We started second in the race and had a good car to begin with” said Wilson. “We took the lead early and started to pull away before slipping back to third. The race ran caution free and that really hurt us I think”. “I messed up a little bit and got us too loose Saturday night. We’ll be better next race”.
Wilson qualified second and started in the same spot after the redraw. With his third place finish, his points lead now stands at 22, two points less than at the start of the race.
“We’ve still got a solid points lead,” said Wilson. “I’m thinking about the big picture. Obviously, I’d like to win a few more races. We’ve let a few get away from us. But I really want to win the championship. In the big picture, we’ve had consistent runs just about every race. If we keep running like we are, we should be in good shape. I’d like to win a few more though.”
Wilson has one win, eight top five finishes and 10 top 10 finishes on the season at Caraway Speedway.
Wilson’s next race will be the UARA-STARS race at Caraway Speedway on Saturday, July 27th.
