An impromptu drivers meeting was called for just after the gates opened at 11am on Saturday, September 29, 2018. ValleyStar Credit Union 300 Race Director Lynn Carroll instructed the teams that they would have to add 30 pounds overall, 15 on each side to the Harrington Enforcer engines as well as remove their 1″ carburetor spacer plate.
During the meeting, he mentions that some teams might load up and Tommy Lemons, Jr. speaks up saying that they should load up. Carroll then threatens to have him removed from the meeting before actually another competitor from the meeting.
