STAFFORD, CT :: The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour tried to run the TSI Harley-Davidson 125 at Stafford Motor Speedway a second time, but once again was unable to due to rain.
The announcement was made just as the storm stopped. But track and series officials believed that there was another severe storm system that was supposed to hit the track an hour later and felt their best course of action was to call off the night’s racing card.
The Tour did get on track for practice for a few minutes. Bobby Santos was fastest in practice once again. He won the pole a week earlier and was fastest in practice that night as well.
NASCAR and Stafford Motor Speedway will try for a third time next Friday, June 6th. The TSI Harley-Davidson 125 will run in addition to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly events that were scheduled for that night as well as the divisions that were supposed to run this week.
