DAYTONA BEACH, FL :: The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour takes to the track for the second event of the 2013 season on Saturday, March 23 in the KOMA Unwind Relaxation Drink 150 at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, N.C. Below is a statistical look at the recent performance of the series and selected drivers at SNMP, as well as some other statistical trends:

Southern National Race Setup
• Two former Southern National winners – Tim Brown and Burt Myers – in the Southern Modified Tour will be on hand for the event.
• Brown has an average finish of 1.67 in three career SNMP starts including a win and two runner-up performances.
• Three-time and defending tour champion George Brunnhoelzl III has finished inside the top 10 in 26 straight Southern Modified races dating back to the beginning of the 2011 season.
• Andy Seuss has a string of seven top-10 finishes on the tour.
• Just eight of the 24 drivers entered in the event have tour experience at Southern National.

NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour At Southern National
• This is the Whelen Southern Modified Tour’s fourth visit to the .4-mile oval in Kenly, N.C., that boasts 17 degrees of banking in the corners and seven-degree banking on the straightaways.
• The Southern Modified Tour has not competed at the track since Sept. 13, 2008.
• Three drivers – Tim Brown, Junior Miller and Burt Myers – have won at the track.
• Just eight drivers – Brown, George Brunnhoelzl III, Brian Loftin, Burt Myers, Jason Myers, Andy Seuss, John Smith and Thomas Stinson – out of the 24 entered have Southern Modified experience at the Kenly oval.
• The inaugural tour event in 2006 had 100 laps while the subsequent races have been 150 laps in duration.
• Chevrolet has two of the three wins at the North Carolina oval.
