Naples, ME(January 18, 2011) — Pro All Stars Series(PASS) President Tom Mayberry has announced a six race 2011 National Championship series that will see the super late model touring pros visit a variety of speedways from Maine to North Carolina.
The popular Easter Bunny date at Hickory(NC) Motor Speedway will get the 2011 National title chase underway on April 23rd, followed by the first ever PASS National Championship event at Virginia’s Motor Mile Speedway on May 28th. Both races will award PASS South points.
Thompson(CT) International Speedway returns to the National Championship schedule with an expanded 100 lap event on Thursday July 21st. Speed week in New England will take on a new dimension in 2011 when the PASS National trail heads north for back to back dates in Maine and New Hampshire. The PASS 300 at Maine’s Beech Ridge Motor Speedway returns to the National schedule on September 17th & 18th, followed by 150 laps at North Woodstock New Hampshire’s White Mountain Motorsports Park September 24th.
It’s the first time White Mountain’s quick quarter mile has hosted a PASS National Championship event and with the action at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in full swing race fans will have the opportunity to see the fastest short track cars and stars at one of the Northeast’s most exciting and fan friendly venues. All three of these events award PASS North points so the 2011 title chase will be in full swing.
The Championship trail wraps up right after turkey day when Rougemont North Carolina’s Orange County Speedway hosts the PASS South and PASS National series finale on November 25th & 26th. PASS will be bringing a Thanksgiving motorsports tradition back to the Piedmont and you can expect a northern invasion for the last PASS super late model event of 2011.
Six races in five states on speedways ranging from 5/8’s mile to just a quarter mile – a true test of the race teams that take up the 2011 PASS National Championship challenge.
