MYRTLE BEACH, SC :: While the Myrtle Beach 400 is still two weeks away, the racetrack has already put out the early entry list.  24 Late Model Stock cars are currently registered for the 200 lap, $15,000 to win race on Sunday, November 24th.  While some names you would expect aren’t on the list, remember this is a list of people that have filed an entry to the racetrack, so until a driver or team does, they WILL NOT show up on this list.

We can however tell you that Matt McCall will be at the 400 in a few weeks making his first Late Model start in a while.

Myrtle Beach will also lock in 10 drivers following five “Dash for Cash” races that were run during the course of the 2013 season.  Sam Yarbrough, the 2013 track champion along with Justin Milliken are locked into the 200 lap event.  Jamie Weatherford of Darlington, SC and Matt Cox of Little River, SC also picked up spots during the season.

Trey Marcham locked himself in to the event when he picked up back to back wins in July.  2010 track champion, Brent Brinson is also guaranteed a spot.  2012 track champion and Myrtle Beach 400 winner, Anthony Anders, along with Brian Vause, Shane Lee and Kevin Parsons are also locked into the the field for the Sunday, November 24th race.

The 2013 edition of the Myrtle Beach 400 will feature a 200 lap Late Model Stock Car races. In recent years, this event as been 250 laps, but speedway officials cut the distance for 2013 and raised the purse.  The winner will now take home $15,000 to win and the overall purse has been raised.  Instead of paying $500 to start like in years past, teams will now get $800 to start.

The Myrtle Beach 400 takes place at the Myrtle Beach Speedway on Friday, November 22nd; Saturday, November 23rd; and Sunday, November 24th.  Sunday’s card will feature a 100 lap Limited Late Model race and 200 lap Late Model Stock Car race.
