The fifth Annual Mischa Sell Memorial Limited Late Model Race will be held on the high banks of Southern National Motorsports Park on Saturday October 8, 2016.
This annual event is one of the largest and most prestigious events for the Limited Late Model class in the entire nation. This year’s event has a new home at the Kenly, North Carolina half mile track. The previous 4 contests were held at Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, NC.
The Mischa Sell Memorial event typically draws many of the top Limited Late Model competitors as well as some of the regions top Late Model Stock Car drivers. Promoter David Sell hopes the move to Southern National Motorsports Park will bring a whole new group of racers to compete with the guys who run the event every season.
“By moving this event east 90 miles to a larger track, we should see most of our 30+ competitors back, along with an influx of drivers who have never participated in the event. My relationship with Southern National owner Michael Diaz has been a good one through the years and his excitement to bring this event east made it an easy choice.”
The rules will remain the same as last year with Chevrolet 603 Crate engines with 390 carburetors and no shock/spring rules. Two new and three scuff Hoosier F-45 tires will remain the tire rule for this years event.
