McCallister Precision Marketing is pleased to announce Leicht Motorsports has re-signed Brandon Lemke and will field a second car for Mason Ludwig in 2018.
Both Lemke and Ludwig are clients of MPM Marketing and will compete for Leicht Motorsports in the Big 10 Limited Late Model Series at Hickory Motor Speedway in Newton, N.C., this year.
Lemke, who hails from Eagle, Wis., completed his first season with Leicht Motorsports in 2017, closing the year strong in November in the Southeast Limited Late Model Series Challenger at Myrtle Beach Speedway. The teenager challenged for the lead throughout the race before he finished second.
“We had a tremendous first season,” he said. “I was able to compete for wins and that is a quite the accomplishment for a first-year driver. It’s thanks to the hard work and great advice I received from Eugene Leicht and all of the team at Leicht Motorsports. I’m excited for our second season and want to thank MPM for all of the help promoting my career.”
Ludwig, who is from North Branch, Mich., began racing go-karts in 2010. He climbed the ranks through karts, bandoleros and legends before driving a late model in 2017, finishing second in the Spartan Speedway – located in Mason, Mich. – championship battle.
“To get the opportunity to race for Leicht Motorsports is an absolute honor,” he said. “They have helped so many drivers and I look forward to learning and growing in this sport. I can’t thank them enough for the chance to prove myself and I want to thank Tonya at MPM for all of her work that has gotten me to this point in my career.”
McCallister is equally thrilled for the great news for two of her clients.
“We are excited for Brandon and Mason and the opportunities they will have racing for Leicht Motorsports,” she said. “It will give these two drivers the opportunity to showcase their talents and MPM will work hard to continue to help them advance their careers.”
Leicht Motorsports has a history of winning. Eugene Leicht, who has been involved in building race cars most of his life, has built cars that have won all over the East, including at famed tracks such as Martinsville, Hickory, South Boston and Myrtle Beach Speedways.
“Brandon had a tremendous first year and we are excited about being a part of his growth and success next year,” Leicht said. “Adding a second team for Mason is a challenge I’m excited about. It’s always fun to grow and learn as a team and watch a young driver experience success. Mason has shown he has the talent to succeed and we’re happy to be a part of his future.”
Leicht has purchased a two-car hauler and Renegade to make the expansion to a multi-car team. He hired his son, veteran late model and super truck standout Kevin Leicht, who will serve as the crew chief for Ludwig.
