Kaz Grala already has a busy 2015 season between a full-time run in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) and the recent announcement that he would race part-time in Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Late Model Stock Car.  Now, Grala is adding several Championship Auto Racing Series (CARS) Super Late Model Tour races to his calendar.

Grala, 16, has two wins to his credit in Late Model Stock Car racing with one of those wins coming in a UARA race at Hickory Motor Speedway.  However, racing in a Super Late Model will be a new challenge for Grala.  The March 28th race at Southern National Motorsports Park, which is the opening race for the CARS Tour, will be only Grala’s second start in a Super Late Model.

“I’m definitely looking forward to it,” Grala said.  “It’s going to be only my second start in a Super Late Model so we’ll see how it goes.”

Grala will be unable to run the full CARS Tour schedule because of his comittments in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East with Ben Kennedy Racing.  However, Grala does plan to run as many races as he can.

On the Late Model Stock Car side, Grala will run a limited schedule with Kyle Busch Motorsports, making his debut with the team in the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown at South Boston Speedway.  He will also run in the Valley Star Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway and several other races.  The deal with Kyle Busch Motorsports will have him running at least 10 races.

Grala has 17 starts in NKNPSE competition, scoring four top-five finishes and 10 top-10 finishes, but he has yet to win.  That’s something he plans to change this season.

“I’m hoping to win this year,” Grala remarked.  “It is tough competition in K&N but it sure would be great to get a win. My new BKR crew chief is REALLY good and I’m looking forward to working with Bond [Suss] at KBM, I’m pretty sure they’ll be able to help me raise my game this season. They’re both really talented so we’ll see.”

The inaugural CARS Tour race will be held on Saturday, March 28th at Southern National Motorports Park in Lucama, North Carolina.
