TRAVELERS REST, SC :: With the exit of Hawk-McCall Motorsports most successful driver Ben Rhodes, another young driver will look to the leadership of veteran and former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series crew chief Lee McCall.

Brayton Haws first made his debut in Limited Late Model and Late Model Stock Car racing with Lee Faulk Racing at Hickory Motor Speedway but will now take the helm of cars that led Rhodes to multiple victories in 2013 with Hawk-McCall.  The new driver has Hawk-McCall excited about the future of the team in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series ranks.

“We are excited to have Brayton on board for 2014,” says HMM Co-Owner Randy Hawkins. “Our program is all about driver development and Brayton has the talent and the attitude to take it to the next level.”

The HMM team plans on racing select NASCAR Whelen Series events as well as several other races across the country. A full event schedule will be released at a later date.

“The NASCAR Whelen Series is the core of stock car racing,” says HMM Co-Owner and Crew Chief Lee McCall. “These drivers are the future of this sport and we are thrilled about having Brayton on board for the 2014 season!”

Since the young age of 5, Brayton has been behind the wheel of a race car. His love for the sport, mixed with his raw talent, has allowed him to climb the ranks quickly in the amateur racing circuit. Brayton made his stunning debut in 2013 winning the Winter Heat Championship at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Auburndale Speedway Winter National Championship in the Legends Class. From there, the decision was made to move into the Late-Model division.

Brayton’s title sponsors for the 2014 season will be Primary Mechanical HVAC Services of Wake Forest, North Carolina. As well as Rheem Manufacturing Company of Atlanta, GA.
