CARS Tour Purse Expands to $40,000 for Carteret County Event

With the goal of getting the largest Late Model Stock Car count in the track’s short history, Solid Rock Carriers has stepped up their support for the CARS Tour race at Carteret County Speedway on July 13th, growing the total race purse to $40,000. This will mark the 3rd highest paying event on the tour’s schedule in 2019, and the four tire race will see absolutely no additions to the at track cost of a normal CARS Tour race.

The expansion of the race purse will be done through a series of basic bonus’ that will be referred to as “Solid Rock Incentives”. 90% of the bonus money will be awarded to those who don’t end the night in Edlebrock victory lane.

SOLID ROCK INCENTIVES

*First seven (7) drivers/teams that enter the race online at carsracingtour.com will receive a $250 cash bonus added to their purse. This increases the start money to a minimum of $950 for those seven teams. (CARS Tour Touring 12 and annual entered teams are not eligible for this bonus)

*Finishers in positions 6th through 12th will receive a $200 bonus. This now makes the 12th place finisher’s take money a minimum of $1,000, and the 6th place finisher’s minimum take home of $1,400.

*Finishers in positions 5th through 2nd will receive a $300 bonus making the 5th place finisher’s take money a minimum of $1,650, and the 2nd place finisher’s minimum take home of $3,200.

*The winner’s minimum take home increases by $500, making it $6,500 to be crowned the winner of the Crystal Coast 125 at Carteret County Speedway.

Each of the “Solid Rock Incentives” are in addition to the CARS Late Model Stock Tour stout purse. There is also a Circle Track Warehouse Hometown Hero Award that awards either three, two, or one free tire(s) to the top 3 in Carteret County Speedway’s Late Model track points standings just prior to the series race on July 13th. The number of free tires distributed to the top the in the standings is determined solely by order of online entry.

The CARS Tour, along with Carteret County Speedway, will also host a seafood boil Friday night (July 12th) after practice at the speedway for all competing CARS Tour teams. This major weekend is all in efforts to amass a twenty-two plus car count for the annual CARS Tour visit at the North Carolina short track, which is deemed the best facility in the state.

Entry forms for the Solid Rock Carriers Crystal Coast 125 pres. by Moore’s BBQ will be released via the CARS Tour (www.carsracingtour.com) website under the schedule section on Thursday May 23rd at 9AM.
