Track PR Report
Timmonsville, SC (April 15, 2012) — Three weeks, three different winners in the Late Model division. The first week it was Michael Elliott, last week it was Clay Thomas and now it’s Averitt Lucas. Lucas and Elliott battled for the first half of the race, rubbing fenders with some good hard racing. Lucas prevailed to pick up his first win of the season. Brandon Setzer, the son of former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Dennis Setzer came home second in his first race at the track. Jarrett Smith, Raymond Polk and Strom Altman Jr rounded out the top five.
Bobby June started in the back and had to pick off cars to grab the win in the Super Stock division. With Wayne Locklair and Todd Amerson battling side by side, June stayed patient and finally got around Locklair and Amerson. A mid race caution brought the field back together allowing Locklair to make a late race run, but he would run out of time. Locklair, Will Hutson, Todd Amerson and Ken McClary rounded out the top five.
Bobby Tumbleston picked up his first win in over six years on Saturday night, holding off Josh Lee, Greg Tumbleston, Toby Milligan and Andy Norton.
We’ll do it all again next Saturday night. The Late Models, Super Stock, Street Stocks, Stock 4 Cylinders, Bombers and Cruzer Bruzers will all be racing. Racing action will start at 8 PM. Admission to the grandstands will be $10 for Adults 13 and up, $5 for Kids ages 8 to 12, and kids under 8 are free.
