When the green flag drops on the 2018 season at Caraway Speedway, there will be more than $5,000 reasons for a Late Model Stock Car driver to be there for the 99-lap Money Madness on Sunday, March 4th.

Caraway Speedway announced today that bonus money was added to the Money Madness race. Not everyone is eligible for all the bonus money added but many drivers including track champions from around the region, the CARS Tour Touring 12 and winners of the big Late Model Stock Car races from around the region are eligible.

The first bonus of over $2,000 in cash and awards will be a $500 bonus for winning the Money Madness race. This bonus is open to any Late Model Stock Car track champion from any track NASCAR sanctioned or not as well as the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car champion from 2017. Additionally, any of the CARS Tour Touring 12 drivers registered to compete in all of this year’s CARS Tour events are eligible for the bonus money.

Any big race winner from the 2017 season is also eligible for the $500 bonus should they win the Money Madness at Caraway Speedway on Sunday, March 4th. Martinsville ValleyStar Credit Union 300 winner Timothy Peters, Thanksgiving Classic winner Matt McCall, Myrtle Beach 400 winner Josh Berry, Rusty Harpe Memorial winner Mason Diaz, South Boston 200 & Dominion 150 winner Philip Morris, Hampton Heat winner Bobby McCarty, Rodney Cook Classic winner Blake Stallings and Bristol CARS Tour winner Myatt Snider are all eligible for the bonus money.

“We’re trying to lure everyone to come and run with us,” Darren Hackett, promoter of Caraway Speedway said. “The $500 bonus is open to a lot of drivers and is very likely going to be won by someone. The CARS Tour Touring 12, one of the big race winners or someone who won a championship last season is very likely to be among the guys contending for the win.”

A $1,000 bonus is also being offered if anyone can win all three of the big Late Model Stock Car races scheduled for this season. Additionally, anyone who competes in all three races will be entered into a drawing for a free set of tires for the Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, NC. The Thanksgiving Classic serves as the finale among Late Model Stock Car races in this region.

“We think someone can win all three races. I mean they’ll have to be on top of their game and there will be luck involved but someone could win all three races. And even if someone doesn’t win all three they’ll have the chance at a set of tires for the Thanksgiving Classic. The money we’re paying, the bonus money, the shortened schedule, and all gives pretty much every racer a reason to come to Caraway this season.”

If someone eligible for the bonus money were to win all three races, they’d pick up over $21,500 in purse money in just three races. That’s a lot of money for three Late Model Stock Car events and a lot of reason to make Caraway Speedway a priority for your 2018 season plans.

The season kicks off Sunday, March 4th at 2pm with the 99-lap Money Madness race for the Late Model Stock Cars. Caraway Speedway will also host a 40-lap Limited Late Model feature as well as a 25-lap Chargers, 15-lap Mini Stocks, and a 12-lap U-Car race. Tickets will be $20 for Adults, $5 for kids 6-12 and kids five & under get in free.
