GREENVILLE, SC :: Reigning Greenville-Pickens Speedway Track Champion Anthony Anders is anxious to get back behind the wheel at the legendary South Carolina track.  Anders will compete in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) season opening FOX Carolina 150 at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on Saturday night, March 1st.

This will be Anders’ first start of the season and his first start in PASS competition since running a race at the now-defunct Lanier National Speedway in Georgia several years ago.  Anders expects to drive well but says bump-stops in PASS could prove to be a challenge.

“It’s my home track and all so we’ll test Friday and tune it in,” Anders said.  “I’ve never run bump stops on a racecar.  We’ve got some help on it.  We’ll put it together and see if we can do well in it.

“I think, as far as driving style, I have an advantage but the bump stops is a good tenth, tenth and a half than a conventional soft-spring or coil binding setup.  I’m not sure what to expect on this bump stop.  I’m excited about getting it done though.”

Anders will be running the same chassis he ran at the 2013 UNOH Battle at the Beach at Daytona International Speedway.  The straight-rail chassis Anders will race is his own racecar.

The PASS South Series’ FOX Carolina 150 will be run on Saturday, March 1st at Greenville-Pickens Speedway.  PASS will have live pay-per-view streaming on PASS TV.  RACE22.com will also provide coverage of the race.
