Final practice before Snowball Derby qualifying on Friday concluded with the top nine all separated by less than one-tenth of a second. As a result, the run for the pole appears to be a wide-open affair.
Zane Smith topped the speed charts with a fast lap of 16.383 seconds — just one hundredth faster than Christopher Bell, the fastest driver during Thursday’s practice. The were followed by Donnie Wilson, Spencer Davis and Kyle Grissom.
Of note, was Harrison Burton, who posted the 12th quickest time in a Super Late Model rebuilt overnight following a spectacular crash just 20 hours prior. The car was shipped-over to the Johanna Long shop in Pensacola where numerous hands were involved in its rebuild.

Defending winner John Hunter Nemechek was eighth fastest while 2011 Derby winner Chase Elliott was 36th. Johanna Long won the race in 2010 and was 42nd on the charts. Defending Southern Super Series champion Casey Smith was 26th, while previous title-holders Daniel Hemric and Bubba Pollard were 11th and 25th respectively.
