CALLAWAY, VA :: Racers and fans alike will have many chances to see themselves on television this season from National opportunities to online streaming during the 2014 season.
As the second season opens for Franklin County Speedway under the guidance of Langley Austin and Moonshine Capital Promotions National Television cameras will be rolling as the day and action unfolds on the ‘Fastest 3/8 mile Paved Oval in the World’. It will thrust the track into the National spotlight and put the racers and their sponsors in front of a much larger audience.
“It’s going to be a big season at Franklin County Speedway,” said track promoter Langley Austin. “I’ve been saying that since before last season ended and things just keep coming up to make the season better and better. FOX TV contacted me back in December and wanted to come in February before the Daytona 500 but our lack of racing during that time and the weather in this area has forced them to back up their taping to the season opening event.
“We were already expecting our season opener to be big but with the recent sponsorship announcement with Racing Dynamiks supporting the event and now with national television coverage, drivers are going to be coming from all over to get their car on national television.”
Franklin County Speedway’s TV time won’t stop when the season opener ends either. The Rolling Thunder Modifieds will also bring television cameras with them as the MaxSpeed Thunder cameras will be rolling for a new television show and reality show featuring the cars and stars of the series.
Television cameras will also be spotlighting Franklin County Speedway on Saturday, June 21st when the stars and cars of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super and Pro Late Models make their first ever stop in Callaway, VA. The nights racing action will be carried via pay-per-view on PASS TV as well as being available on demand from the series website.
“Both the Rolling Thunder Modifieds and PASS series will bring a lot of attention to Franklin County Speedway this season,” stated Austin. “The television deal for the Rolling Thunder Modifieds will certainly make that series more desirable for this regions Modified racers. The PASS series race has created quite the buzz already and we’re expecting that to grow even more as the season grows closer.”
Race fans have got through this winter with the help of videos shot last season by Travis Morgan of Trav’s Racing Videos and available to view for free on YouTube. We expect that Travis will be back during the 2014 season to capture the sights and sounds of what we’re anticipating will be an exciting season.
“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve personally just sat down and watched the videos of this past season,” continued Austin. “Travis (Morgan) does a great job and I can’t wait to see what he captures this season to keep the fans entertained. I know it’s helped me get through the winter and I know it’s kept the fans desiring warm weather and the smell of race fuel.”
Race season kicks off at Franklin County Speedway with the Racing Dynamiks 200 on Sunday, April 13th at 3:00pm.
