After an injury at the Daytona International Speedway in February, Kyle Busch will soon be back behind a racecar and it could happen sooner than expected.

Motorsport.com’s Lee Spencer dropped an Easter egg in a report earlier today, speculating that Kyle Busch would return to Hickory Motor Speedway this week.  If that is in a race, the race would, of course, be the all-star Championship Auto Racing Series (CARS) Super Late Model Tour, where Kyle Busch already fields a car driven by the most recent race winner Christopher Bell.

Kyle Busch has attended both CARS Tour races this season helping Bell.  The CARS Tour race at Southern National Motorsports Park on March 28th was Busch’s first time at a racetrack since his injury in a NASCAR XFINITY Series race at the Daytona International Speedway on February 21st.  On April 18th, Busch was again at the track with Christopher Bell, helping guide him to victory in the Orange Blossom 300.

Bell, who has become the hottest driver in Super Late Model competition, has scored two wins driving for Kyle Busch.  But, if Kyle Busch is to race on Saturday night in the Catawba Valley 250 at Hickory, it could be tough.

According to Lee Spencer’s report, Kyle Busch has already done some testing at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, North Carolina.

Update: Kyle Busch says he will not be racing this weekend:
