GRUNDY, VA :: Rockin’ Ryan Stiltner scored his first win of the season at Lonesome Pine Raceway on Saturday night. Stiltner started on the pole and led wire-to-wire in the first of two Late Model Stock Car features at Lonesome Pine to score the win. He also capped off the night with a second place finish in the second race.
“It feels pretty great to finally break through and get the monkey off our back,” Stiltner said. I would have liked to have won earlier this year but it’s better late than never. I just can’t thank my entire crew enough for giving me such a good car and everyone who’s supported us this season. It feels great for our hard work to finally pay off.”
After Saturday night’s races, Stiltner moved up to second in the point standings at Lonesome Pine and now has a shot to mount a charge to score his second consecutive Lonesome Pine Raceway track championship.
“It’s possible for us to win this thing,” Stiltner remarked. “We’re only 16 points back now. If we can keep having good runs like this going, we’re right back in it.”
Stiltner also raced on Friday night at Kingsport Speedway where he scored two top-10 finishes. The victory is also Stiltner’s first career victory in a NASCAR-sanctioned race.
Ryan Stiltner will continue to focus his efforts on chasing the track championship at Lonesome Pine Raceway with six Late Model features still on the schedule at Lonesome Pine Raceway. He will be back in action on Saturday night, September 6th at Lonesome Pine Raceway for twin races.
