Two nights of intense racing and a beach music concert will highlight Carteret County Speedway’s Speedweek in July.
Carteret County Speedweek will kick off on Sunday, July 3rd with the Interstate Batteries Firecracker Clash. A rare weekday matinee will take place on Wednesday, July 6th with the Stevenson Chevrolet Showdown, headlined by a $2,000-to-win Late Model feature. Speedweek will conclude on Saturday, July 9th with the Beach Music Bash under the stars, headlined by Jim Quick and the Coastline Band.
Speedweek at Carteret County Speedway comes on a holiday week and the close proximity to the beach offers a great getaway for racers and fans. In addition to its close proximity to the beach, Carteret County Speedway offers camping at the track with hot showers and electricity hookups.
The Interstate Batteries Firecracker Clash on Sunday, July 3rd features Late Model, Street Stock, Mini Stock, U-CAR and Legends cars. The DES Pro Wing Champ Karts, which used to race predominantly at Langley Speedway, will make their inaugural visit to Carteret County Speedway
The Stevenson Chevrolet Shootout, which is being held on a weeknight (Wednesday, July 6th) which is a rarity in the Southeast, will feature five divisions of racing. The feature race will be a $2,000-to-win Late Model race. In addition to the increased payout, the race pays $150 to start with sticker American Racer sticker tires costing only $75 each.
Concluding Speedweek will be the Beach Music Bash under the stars which will get started at 6pm. Jim Quick and the Coastline Band will headline the show. The Fantastic Shakers will also be performing at the concert.
