The Southeast Super Truck Series has announced its 2016 series schedule. The schedule will remain very similar to the 2015 season, one notable change, however, is the addition of Newport Speedway.
The published schedule is mostly finalized, but is listed as tentative while we await confirmation on two dates. There are a few points you should be aware of.
First, the March 26th date listed as Tri-County Motor Speedway, could change to a different venue. Secondly, the July 2nd date is awaiting final confirmation. Once these two items have been finalized, we will make the updates as needed.
Another noteworthy item is the fact that there are 13 dates listed. The date for the official rules meeting will be announced within the next few days. One major item on the agenda for that meeting will address the number of dates/races. During the meeting, a decision will be made whether to have 13 race dates or to allow racers to drop one finish and only count their 12 best finishes toward the points championship.
Again, once this decision is made, the series will make the proper adjustments and announcements.
