Series PR Report

Asheville, NC(January 7, 2012) — The Southeast Super Trucks Series has exciting news for the 2013 year with 10 upcoming races scheduled for its second year at great venues in four states! In the inaugural year of 2012, the series was a great success and fans witnessed action packed, side by side racing at every event. The 2013 year promises to be as full of the bumper-to-bumper action of these high-powered short track machines. In 2012, two race teams fought down to the last few laps of the 10th race of the season in the point’s battle.

Kenneth Headen (#33) driving for the Brookshire Racing Team edged out Justin Sorrow (#9), driver of the JMS Electrical/Jim Satcher Dodge by one point to capture the 2012 SEST Series championship at Newport Motor Speedway. Sorrow, a seasoned and talented driver, raced his heart out with two wins in 2012. All of the teams in the SEST Series are a well-rounded mix of experienced people and drivers with many years in the sport to up and coming stars of the future.
The fans showed great support for the series in 2012. Their enthusiasm in the Series has got all the race teams geared up and ready to get down to business for the 2013 showdown!
The SEST Series looks forward to welcoming back their supporting sponsors, as well as upcoming new sponsors for the 2013 season. The SEST Series staff appreciates all the wonderful people and companies that played a huge part in making 2012 a success.

July 12th – Tri-County Motor Speedway – Hudson, NC

Sept. 13th- Anderson Motor Speedway, Williamston, SC
The SEST Series will kick off the season at Historic Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, NC in a combined event with the UARA-STARS (late model touring series). The history at this track is amazing and for the trucks to hold their first race of the season here is truly exciting. The series will visit Anderson Motor Speedway, in Williamson, SC two times for 2013. AMS is a sure bet because everyone likes this track and the SEST cannot wait to take the green flag in the Palmeto state. Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, Va., ran by 2012 Promoter of the year Harold Crook and his fine staff will host two events for 2013. Now talk about a great location and history, this raceway is the place to be for the SEST Series events. Virginia may be for lovers, but it is also for racing as well, and the fans at LPR love their hometown track.
Newport Motor Speedway in Newport, Tn. is called the ‘bullring’ for a very good reason, as it is a fast action packed high-banked track. The series is scheduled to visit NMS twice in 2013. The series visited Tri-County Speedway in 2012, and is scheduled to race at Tri-County again in 2013. Tri-County has an atmosphere all the fans like and race teams enjoy.
As the race season unfolds, you can count on another close points battle with many new surprises. These teams aim to do business and put on a show meant for short track racing and race they will, right down to the last lap.
Southeast Super Trucks Series, short track racing action is what the fans wish, hope, and want to see… and they will. “Catch The Action in 2013!”
