Despite the expectations of track management, Lee Pulliam has been suspended from competition for his involvement in the altercation with Philip Morris and Forrest Reynolds at South Boston Speedway on Saturday night.
Additional Pulliam and Morris have been fined. Reynolds has not been suspended since he doesn’t have a NASCAR license. He has been prohibited from entering a NASCAR sanctioned event and won’t be eligible to apply for a NASCAR license until 2020.

No. 5 Team
Section 12-1: Actions detrimental to stock car racing. Behavioral; 12-6.1 Member Conduct, C.2. Member-to-Member confrontation(s) with physical violence and other violent manifestations such as significant threat(s), abuse and/or endangerment. Driver was in car stopped on the track under red flag conditions, a crewmember from another team approached vehicle and leaned in through right side window. Driver then started his vehicle and proceeded to move forward at an accelerated speed carrying the crew member and throwing him from the vehicle.
The driver (Lee Pulliam) receives a $1,500 fine and is suspended from NASCAR until April 17, 2019. If fine is not paid, the NASCAR suspension will continue. Probation until December 31, 2019.

Section 12-1: Actions detrimental to stock car racing. 9-4 Driver Responsibilities B. At all Events, the driver assumes responsibility for the following: 1. Actions of his/her car owner and team members, and may be subject to disciplinary action as a result. Crew member entered racing surface under red flag conditions and was involved in an on track altercation.
The driver (Philip Morris) receives a $1,000 fine, and is suspended from NASCAR until fine is paid. Probation until December 31, 2019.
Note: Any attempt by crew chief – Forrest Reynolds to participate in a NASCAR Event as a crew member of Philip Morris’ team will result in further penalties levied to Philip Morris.
