GRUNDY, VA :: One win on the season in 2012 was not enough for Ryan Stiltner. This season, he wants to win a lot more. Stiltner will be competing at Kingsport Speedway and Lonesome Pine Raceway, tracks he was very consistent at in 2012.
“I’m confident we can get a lot more this season,” said Stiltner. “We got our first win last year and that certainly gives you something to build on. When you win a race and visit victory lane, you want to win more.”
Stiltner got his first career win last season on September 1st at Lonesome Pine Raceway.
“That was a wild race,” said Stiltner. “We didn’t get the qualifying effort we had hoped for but a lot of things fell our way with the leaders getting taken out. Once we got the lead, I knew it was all in my hands. A lot of work goes in to winning races and you need little luck sometimes.”
Stiltner is teamed up with former racer Kirby Gobble.
“Kirby (Gobble) does a good job setting these cars up,” said Stiltner. “I know we can win a lot more this season.”
Stiltner will be running 40 races in 2013 at Kingsport Speedway and Lonesome Pine Raceway. Among those races will be two UARA-STARS races, one at Lonesome Pine on June 1st and the other at Kingsport on September 14th.
Stiltner is supported by Patriot Mining, Clark Signs & Graphics, Triple K Trucking, Race Coal, Hedgecock Racing Enterprises and Kowalsky Racing Engines.
