CALLAWAY, VA :: Racing Dynamiks has come on board to be the sponsor of the first race of the season at Franklin County Speedway and the first race under Moonshine Capital Promotions management on May 27th. Racing Dynamiks is owned by long time Franklin County Speedway supporter and former racer Travis Sharpe.
“We’re excited to have Travis come on board to sponsor this race,” said Langley Austin, owner of Moonshine Capital Promotions. “We got off to a late start at Franklin County Speedway to make this season work, so we’re behind selling race sponsorships and billboards and stuff. So it’s nice to see a guy who’s supported this track along with his family since he was a little boy come on board to sponsor our first race.”
Austin and Sharpe grew up together at Franklin County Speedway, learning about racing on one of the toughest bullrings anywhere. Austin went on to build a successful short track racing website in RACE22.com, while Sharpe went to work on the cars after a short career of driving them and is now building cars for the tracks top tier Late Model division.
“I’ve known Travis since we were both just little kids running around watching our heroes race around the track. We went in different directions over the years but we both have a passion for short track racing and an even deeper passion for Franklin County Speedway. We both want to see this race track return to the glory days, like it was when we were kids.”
Sharpe’s passion for Franklin County Speedway has never been stronger than it is now. He’s been out campaigning for drivers to come and run this season and support the track under Moonshine Capital Promotions leadership as well as he put up a $200 halfway bonus for the Late Model division opener. Now he’s taking it to another level and putting his full weight behind the tracks reopening with the sponsorship of the opening race.
“I’m excited about Langley Austin coming in and taking Franklin County Speedway back to where it used to be,” said Sharpe. “He’s doing all the right things up there to get the place back going in the right direction and I want to be a big part of the track’s rebirth. He’s well known in the short track racing community and I think that’ll help him bring people to Franklin County that would have never run there otherwise.”
Racing Dynamiks specializes in building NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and UARA-STARS Series Late Model Stock Cars like the ones that will be the feature division at Franklin County Speedway this season. However, they offer much more with everything from parts to rental programs to full driver development programs available.
