Landfall is coming at Carteret County Speedway for the region’s finest stars.
The finest drivers in the Eastern seaboard have had Labor Day weekend circled on their calendars as they are set to “ride the wave” to Carteret County Speedway — which is located just a couple miles away from the Emerald Isle.
The region’s Late Model drivers will race in a 60 lap shootout but that’s not the only race that’s set to take place. Mini-Stock drivers will race in a 50 lap event while Street Stocks and U-CARs will race in 35 lap races. Legends and Bandoleros will also race as part of the race.
Numerous race teams, including “Big” Jim Kelley, Burns Racing, Brandon Clements, Wesley Johnson and others have already taken advantage of early testing at Carteret County Speedway, which is owned by Bobby Watson and being promoted by Adam Resnick.
The track recently announced that they would run American Racer tires and the speedway has teamed up with American Racer to help racers by offering four tires for $200 on opening night.
Ticket prices have been announced for the Swansboro, North Carolina track with adult general admission set at $15, active military $12, kids 6-11 $10 and kids five and under free.
