RACE22.com’s Inaugural Radio Show Launches with Huge Guest Lineup
For Immediate Release
Salisbury, NC(March 7, 2011) — A few days ago we were finally able to make the announcement about our new venture with RACE22 Radio presented by Performancenter Racing Warehouse and now the day is approaching for our first show.
We’ve been working hard to lineup guests for the inaugural show to have many of the local racers LIVE in “Studio 22”. While we’ve got many guests that we’ll be lining up for future shows we’ve think we’ve got a great list of short track racers from throughout the region.
“We’ve tried to put together an assortment of different racers from different places and especially the tracks and series opening up this weekend,” said RACE22 Radio Host, Langley Austin. “We want to try and shine the spotlight on the tracks and series that are opening next weekend. It’s important for us to help promote these short tracks and series so that they can get more fans and drivers.”
As part of trying to promote the series that open next weekend we’ll have a PASS South Series preview with series announcer, Alan Dietz. Dietz will be in studio during the second half of our show and we’ll also try to dial-up one of the series regulars to chat about the opener at Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC.
Continuing with that theme, we’ll also preview the UARA-STARS Series opener at Hickory Motor Speedway in Newton, NC with several of the guys who will be competing for the series championship. Last years winningest driver in the series, Brennan Poole of The Woodlands, TX, who won six races last season will be here to discuss his off-season changes. We’ll also talk to him about how his recent testing at Hickory has went and his expectations for the upcoming season.
We’ll also have 2010 Motor Mile Speedway Late Model Stock Car track champion, Brandon Dean of Lancaster, SC in the studio to discuss his off-season changes as well as his intentions to compete in the UARA-STARS Series full-time during the upcoming season. Dean has also been out testing his new LTO Chassis by Performancenter and will let us know his expectations for the upcoming opening race.
Also stopping by to take part in the UARA-STARS Series preview will be sophomore Late Model Stock Car racer, Clint King of Denton, NC. King was the only rookie driver on the UARA-STARS Series tour to pick up a win last season and he’ll be making his return to the series in hopes of chasing the series title. King will stop by to discuss his off-season changes as well as make an exciting announcement about his future.
Also stopping by to discuss a little UARA as well as discussing his plans to race for the championship in Late Models at Hickory Motor Speedway will be Limited Late Model standout, Austin McDaniels. McDaniels set the Limited Late Model world on fire late last season winning several races at Hickory before winning the final two races of the SouthEast Limited Late Model season. He’ll stop by to discuss his upcoming rookie season at Hickory as well as select UARA starts.
We’ll also preview all the weekly tracks that will be opening up next weekend including South Boston Speedway, Greenville Pickens Speedway, Kingsport Speedway and Caraway Speedway. Nate Monteith is hoping to drop by “Studio 22” to discuss the reopening of Kingsport Speedway, his home track, where he’ll return to compete full-time this season. If he can’t be in studio with us, we’ll check in with him on the Performancenter Racing Warehouse Hotline.
We’ll also try to dial up a couple of drivers to be announced that will be competing in the season opening races at South Boston Speedway and Caraway Speedway. We’ll also touch base with one of the stars of the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified tour to discuss their season opening race on Sunday evening at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, NC.
One driver will be in the studio with us fresh off the race track, as Kenzie Ruston will join us live to discuss her wild race in the “Baby Rattler”, a Pro Late Model race during the weekend of “The Rattler. Ruston, who has already been racing a few times this season, opened a few eyes last season in her Pro Late Model and will continue to be one of the top female drivers throughout the region. Ruston will discuss her schedule this season for her Super Late Model as well as her plans for a few starts in the ARCA Series as RACE22.com announced a few weeks ago.
“We’ve got a jam-packed first show,” continued Austin. “When we announced the show, we had a huge task in front of us to put together a great show. Luckily, a lot of people wanted to be a part of this deal and called me or emailed me about coming on the show. That made my job a lot easier and it made me feel pretty good that so many people want to be a part of this deal.”
Fans and other people in the racing community can also be a part of the show LIVE in “Studio 22” as well for the Inaugural RACE22 Radio Show. RACE22.com’s World Headquarters will host the show with Free Food, Beverage and Beer for the guests and those just coming to hang out at the show. The show will be held at 2880 Mooresville Road, Salisbury, NC 28147 and is open to anyone in the racing community who wants to have a good time and hang out with us during the show.
“It seems now a days everyone has their own radio show, so we wanted to do something a little different,” explained Austin. “Having this show here at the RACE22.com Headquarters gives us free reign to do things like we want to. I want everyone to come hungry and thirsty and enjoy a great meal, have a Pepsi or a Bud Light on us. We’re going to be different in how we do it and what we say, so listen in if you can’t make it down.”
RACE22.com Radio will go LIVE for the first time on Monday, March 7th at 7:00pm with hosts Langley Austin, Corey Latham and Roger Johnson. Check out www.RACE22.com on Monday for an interactive Radio experience with RACE22 Radio presented by Performancenter Racing Warehouse.
