JR Motorsports driver Josh Berry edged Justin Johnson by a fender to win the Summer Sizzler 75 lap Late Model race at Orange County Speedway Saturday night.
Johnson would lean on Berry in a green-white-checkered finish. The two would come out of turn four sideways, while Berry would narrowly capture the win on the high side.
Berry survived numerous late race restarts to claim his first victory at the three-eighths mile oval.
“Those late cautions just about killed me,” Berry said in victory lane. “I dreaded every restart there at the end, but we came out alright.”
Berry, whose car is owned by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., has also stated intentions to run OCS for the CARS Tour Late Model series race next week Saturday, August 1.
Layne Riggs swept a pair of 20 lap Limited Sportsman events . Chuck Lawson and Chris Elliott completed an identical top three for both races.
