FUQUAY-VARINA, NC :: Trevor Noles has started his quest for the 2013 PASS Pro Late Model Series Championship in style with a second place finish at Dillon Motor Speedway and a win at Myrtle Beach Speedway. Now he’s hoping to keep his momentum going at Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday as he pursues the PASS Pro Late Model Championship.
“We’re going after the Pro Series championship and running every race this year,” Noles said. “I think we should be pretty good at Hickory this weekend. We need to have good luck and keep the sponsorship going. I couldn’t do it without them. Coulter Motorsports has given us a great racecar this year. I think we can win the championship.”
Noles is a first generation racer with dreams of making it to the top. His season plans include more than just competing in the PASS Pro Late Models. He’s planning on running some races in the PASS Super Late Models and in the X1-R Pro Cup Series, but his focus is on the championship.
“We’re hoping to run my first PASS Super Late Model race at Kenly this year as well as the Pro race,” Noles stated. “We want to get that championship in the Pro Series. We’re planning on some other PASS Super Late Model races. We just don’t know which ones yet. I need to get my feet wet in the Super Late Models and hopefully we’ll go on somewhere else. For now we’re going to stick with the PASS Series.
“It’s going to be different but I’m looking forward to it. I hope we can run some of Coulter’s K&N and ARCA stuff so hopefully we can move up sometime. X1-R has a few Pro Cup cars and hopefully I’ll run some of those if everything goes well.”
The racing bug isn’t something that was passed down to Noles from his parents. In fact, he says his father really didn’t care much for racing.
“We first started running four-wheelers and moved up to go karts,” Noles explained. “I got up to Four-Cylinder Modifieds and Late Model Stock Cars. I could never get the car to hook up though in the Late Models. We’re running the PASS Series now. We ran in the Southeast Limited Late Model Series for a while and could never do anything with that so we moved up. I’m a first generation racer. My dad wasn’t in to it but I am for some reason.”
Noles has also scored a victory in the PASS Pro Late Model Series at Concord Motorsports Park in last season’s Mason-Dixon Meltdown. Noles is sponsored by Noles Cabinet, Inc., X1-R Oil, and WURTH USA.
