Myatt Snider is one of over 30 Late Model Stock Car drivers making the move to the Championship Auto Racing Association (CARS) Late Model Stock Tour in 2015.

Snider, 20, is entering his third season in Late Model Stock Car racing.  He has raced predominantly at Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, North Carolina and Caraway Speedway in Sophia, North Carolina.  The help of Jamey and Jeff Caudill and their experience in the UARA-STARS tour gives Snider optimism about the season and his chances to contend for victories and a championship.

“I know I’ll be in the best equipment possible with Jeff and Jamey,” Snider said.  “You know how Jamey ran in the UARA and how Jeff’s done with bump stops and coilbining and all that so I’m sure I’ll be in exceptional equipment.  I have no doubts I’ll have the best chance to run for a championship.  We’ll see how it pans out.”

Southern National Motorsports Park will host the season opening race on March 28th.  Snider scored one of his three victories at Southern National, with the other two wins coming at Caraway.  That gives Snider another reason to be confident, but he says he’s looking forward to traveling and visiting new venues in 2015.

“It’s going to be a good show,” Snider remarked.  “They’ve got a really good lineup of tracks on there, a few I haven’t raced at. I think it’s going to be good.  I like to change things up.  We’re going to change things up.  Instead of running at a few tracks, we’ll run a whole slew of tracks.  We’re upping the variety of tracks and try to be more conservative and running more in the bigger shows.

“I adjusted well at Myrtle Beach Speedway.  I’m excited to learn new tracks in new cars.  That will be interesting.”

Along with the CARS Tour, Snider plans to compete in select Late Model races, including the four biggest events – the Hampton Heat 200 at Langley Speedway, Valley Star Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway, the Myrtle Beach 400 at Myrtle Beach Speedway and the Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National.  He’s also working on a deal to compete in the ARCA Racing Series and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series.

“We need to find the sponsorships.  We found a team we could run with and we have a good relationship with.  All we need to do is put the numbers together and get a nice enough check to write.  I think we’re getting close.  We have a good package put together and I’m very happy with the position we’re in so 2015 will be an excellent year.”
