According to our sources the date for the Valley Star Credit Union 300 is expected to be moved to two weeks later than it’s normal first weekend of October date.
The new anticipated date for the Valley Star Credit Union is Sunday, October 16th. The date shift would also shift the date of the annual test session a week and half before the event to Wednesday, October 5th.
The race last October was postponed by a week due to rain and several technical issues faced the race track during the course of the weekend. Scoring didn’t work properly on Saturday forcing the cars to be timed by stop watch instead of transponders. The issue was resolved as the track worked overnight to correct the issue which was caused after the track installed additional safer barriers.
An announcement on the date shift for this years event is expected to be released by the track in the coming days.
