Timmonsville, SC(October 1st, 2012) — Averitt Lucas has been on his game this year. Before Saturday night, Lucas had visited victory lane seven times this year, that leads all drivers. Saturday night, Lucas made it eight victories for the season besting last weeks winner, Jamie Weatherford. A hard charging Michael Elliott would rally from a lap two accident on the backstretch to finish third. Justin Shorter and Archie Adams Sr rounded out the top five.
Donnie Martin hasn’t raced in over twenty five years, but return to the Florence Motor Speedway this season and has already found victory lane in just in third start in the Charger division. After the misfortunes of Wayne Locklair losing a motor, Martin inherited the lead and never looked back. Jimmy Herrington, Ricky Locklair Sr, Ricky Locklair Jr and Troy Norton rounded out the top five.
Kevin Jackson crossed the finish line first, but would be disqualified in post race inspection with an illegal shock. This gave the win to Todd Chappell, his third in a row. Toby Milligan, Josh Lee, Bobby Tumbleston Sr and Justin Altman rounded out the top five.
Florence Motor Speedway will return to action on October 13th with the Late Models, Chargers and Stock 4 Cylinders.
