Lee Pulliam picked up his sixth consecutive win at Motor Mile Speedway in the first of two Late Model Stock Car races on Sunday afternoon.

The winning streak dates back to the season finale in September 2014.  Pulliam has not lost in any of the five races run at Motor Mile Speedway so far in 2015 and he continued his winning ways.  Starting in the sixth position, Pulliam quickly raced his way to second and then inherited the lead in the first half of the race when Tommy Lemons, Jr. dropped out of the race from the lead with mechanical problems.

“What can I say?  I’m so blessed to be able to do this,” Pulliam said.  “Got such a great group behind me … I’m just extremely blessed and thankful to be out there doing this.  Tommy was awfully strong at the beginning.  Don’t know if I had anything for him, hated to see that happen to him.  We were hoping to race it out.  We’ll take it. A win’s a win.”

Matt Bowling, who sits second in the championship standings at Motor Mile to the undefeated Pulliam, finished second.

“We were tight,” Bowling remarked.  “I was hanging on where I was at.  We’ve got to do some work to get it better for the next race.”

Josh Berry finished in the third position.

“We were too loose,” Berry commented.  “Hopefully we didn’t hurt it too bad for the second one.  A top-three is pretty good.  Tommy had a good car and fell out.  We probably had nothing for him.”

Pulliam’s victory will allow him to gain points on Keith Rocco in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national championship standings.
