With the news of longtime racers and businessmen Ervin and Keith Stiltner purchasing the track, Kingsport Speedway is gearing up to have one of it’s best years yet.
The season gets underway on Saturday, March 23rd with all divisions competing on opening night along with the Vintage class making their first start of the season. The Late Model Stock Cars will take center stage for a 60-lap feature. Late Model Stock Car competitors will have 20 shots at taking a checkered flag in 19 events through the course of the season.
“We couldn’t be happier to take the reins at Kingsport,” said Ervin Stiltner. “We’ve seen great support from the competitors, fans, sponsors and local community since we started leasing the track in 2014.”
“We appreciate everyone’s support and look forward to waving the green flag on 2019 and beyond.”
The first two races of the season are slated for Saturday days, then we move back under the lights on Friday nights starting on April 12th at the Concrete Jungle.
The 2019 schedule features a jam-packed lineup featuring the return of the Super Cup Stock Car Series, celebrating our fans and our nation on Fan Appreciation Night on July 5th that will end with a fireworks display and crowning our 2019 track champions on Friday, September 13th.
