It is amazing to think that in November we left Myrtle Beach after two great runs, and thought we had plenty of time to line sponsors up, redo the car, and prepare for 2015. Wow does time fly however. So here we are in the middle of March and race season is in full swing.
Our 2015 plans have changed numerous times over the last 3 months as we have worked diligently to put together a solid program. Over the winter we would rehang the new AR Bodies Camaro on our car along with a fresh new wrap and decal package by Custom Graphics. We would take that car to numerous events in the beginning of 2015. We would have high expectations with advancing our program. After attempting to go for the $5,000 Search for a Champion competition and falling just a little short, we would keep our heads raised high marching towards the goal. After a lot of hard work and determination we would finally pull together enough money to see our dreams fulfilled.
Early in March we would put a deal together to finalize plans to race Late Model Super truck at Hickory Motor Speedway for Integrity Motorsports as well as run the Limited Late Model in the South East Limited Late Model Series. We are excited about what is in store for 2015 as we attempt to go for two championships in two unique divisions. This is not possible without our great sponsors including: WrenchRags, JE Diesel, Vintage City Church, NCN Ministries, ARBodies, Sherri Stearns Photography, ECRS, Custom Graphics, and another one that will be announced soon!!
We feel that this mix will be more conducive to our racing program and allow us the opportunity to have more time to focus on our goals. We would kick off our 2015 season at HMS this past weekend only to fall a little short. We had problems getting the truck prepared and finished up, and would miss practice and qualifying both. We started last and had a throttle linkage break which caused more problems.
Then late in the race we would have a run in with another truck that would cause severe suspension damage and limp the truck home to a 7th place finish. So… now to make repairs, and finally get to go test the truck. Our next race in the truck will be April 11th and hope to make a big run for a win. I thoroughly enjoyed the feel of the truck and it should be exciting as we figure this out. Our first SELLM race will be May 16th, however we hope to break the car out soon at HMS for a trial run! Until the next time, stay tuned to our Facebook page for breaking news!
