Glen Reen out of Wilbraham, Massachusetts will make a return to the SK Modified division this season at Stafford Motor Speedway. Reen will run in his own car and focus 100 percent on running in the SK Modified division. Reen is excited for this year’s competition at Stafford.
“I think all the heavy hitters will be good for drawing a crowd and hopefully the racing is just as exciting,” Reed said.
A lot of drivers from the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will be racing on Friday night at the half mile oval. Justin Bonsignore will be racing for car owner Art Barry.  Rowan Pennink will also be returning this season as well as Ryan Preece, Woody Ptikat, along with Stafford Motor Speedway’s all time leader in wins Ted Christopher. Christopher will be going for his 10th SK Modified championship in 2015. Matt Hirschman has also registered in the SK Modified division.
Reen is really looking forward to racing with all the drivers in the SK Modified field this season at Stafford.
“If you can pull off a win this year against all this competition,” Reen stated.  “That says something about you and your team.”
Reen was not shocked about all these teams entering the SK Modified division this season.
“It was only a matter of time until something like this happens,” Reen remarked.  “It’s going to be a great year for the fans.”
Last season, Reen struggled at Stafford in the SK Modified division in the first two races of the season. He skipped a few races to start from scratch. He came back for the 5K race back on July 25th of last year and one other race as Reen felt the car was really good. He felt he was fast in the Fall Final as he was wrecked early in the 40 lap feature.
He also ran the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour last season for Mark Sypher. Reen felt it was a lot of hard work but all in all considering what he and team were up against. He feels he could of done a lot better.
“We didn’t have a spec motor so were down an easy 30 to 40 hp (horsepower) and I don’t care how good your car handles. It’s extremely hard to over come horsepower.”
He ran an LFR car for the last three NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races last season. He got wrecked at Loudon and the car needed a new clip but they didn’t have enough time to fix the car for the next race at Stafford. The team ran the last two races with a bent front clip and right rail.
Reen will not be returning to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour this season as Donny Lia has taken over the ride for this season. Reen was a little surprised about the change.
“A little bit but I can’t blame Mark for making the change when someone else offers to pay all the bills.  Mark and I are still good friends. We talk all the time and who knows maybe we’ll be reunited somewhere down the road.”
Reen does not plan on making any starts this season on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour
“Only if someone calls me to drive for them. Other than that I’m just going to focus 100% on my SK program st Stafford.”
Reen and his team are extremely excited about the season.
“We feel we are in a great spot in life and everyone on the team is having fun and getting along great. We also picked up some amazing partnerships over this winter.”
Reen goal’s for 2015 are to have a lot of fun and get some wins in the SK Modified division. He just wants to keep it simple.
Reen Racing wants to extend a huge thanks to its 2015 partners. They are RAD’s Auto Machine, Squid Decals, Tech Ed Products, Meridian Industrial Group, and Quick Stop Mobile Service.
