Copper Hill, VA(April 6, 2012) — With week number three of racing around the Late Model Stock Car community all, but rained out all across the region, we skipped last week, but we’re back after an eventful week of racing with more FDJ Motorsports Power Rankings.

With CE Falk claiming the glory at Motor Mile Speedway in one of the most dominating performances seen anywhere this weekend, he certainly has left his mark, but was it enough for the number one spot?  Check out the list below to see where the regions best stack up on this weeks FDJ Motorsports Power Rankings!

Honorable Mention – Adam Long
Finishing fifth at Motor Mile is certainly not a bad day at the track, especially for a driver, who has trouble qualifying and hasn’t been able to get the track position he’s needed the last few seasons to get the finishing positions he’s deserved. And, while Adam Long still hasn’t got qualifying down, he did prove in the 150-lap race that he has one of the best cars at the track and will be a contender this season at Motor Mile Speedway.

9 & 10(tie) – Austin McDaniel & Jesse LeFevers
Austin McDaniel and Jesse LeFevers appear to be the two drivers to beat this season at Hickory Motor Speedway although McDaniel has yet to win and LeFevers has only one win in the three races held so far this season. This past weekend, the two had an epic battle for the lead that ended with McDaniel spun and LeFevers getting black flagged, but the two still made more noise than the eventual winner.

8 – Ross Furr
Yeah, we thought the young man from Concord, NC was retired and out on a lake somewhere fishing and apparently so did his competitors as Ross Furr came from out of nowhere to reassert himself as the driver to beat at Concord Speedway. The track had their big reopening and while the car count wasn’t what they expected, the racing was intense and full of good cars with Furr proving to be the best of them at the end of the day.

7 – Robert Tyler
Accused of cheating almost everytime he hits the race track, Robert Tyler might have found it ironic how he got the win on Saturday night in the second of twins at Caraway Speedway. Tyler was awarded the win after Austin Wayne Self, a Texas native was disqualified for having a tapered spacer.

6 – Eddie Johnson
Eddie Johnson is one of the best Late Model Stock Car racers of all time and while he’s not like some of the other big time drivers racing on nearly unlimited budgets, he does what he can with a limited amount of funds to race on. And, his limited funds hasn’t really limited his trips to victory lane as he proved on Sunday when he took home the checkered flag in the season opener at Southside Speedway.

5 – Austin Wayne Self
You may not know the name, in fact you might not even see it in the listed results from Caraway Speedway this past weekend, but the young man, who was making his second Late Model Stock Car start made everyone in attendance take notice. He picked up the win on the track in the second of twin races at Caraway before being disqualified for having a tapered spacer on his carburetor, but his competition knew that wasn’t what won the race for him.

4 – Mack Little
Mack Little might have been the biggest surprise of the opening night at Caraway Speedway as the veteran isn’t exactly known for dominating and being the driver to beat. He was just that in the first of twin races and took home the first win of the season, but unlike last season he’s hoping his first win won’t be his last.

3 – Matt Bowling
Finishing second sucks … every racer can agree on that, but when you’re Matt Bowling making one of your first few starts at Motor Mile Speedway against a great field of 22 cars, you have to be happy with second. Though Bowling had nothing for CE Falk, he did prove that he was up to the task of racing against Late Model Stock Car racing’s best at Moro Mile.

2 – Nate Monteith
Fans at Kingsport Speedway probably grew tired of seeing Nate Monteith in victory lane last season, well if they choose to they could simply watch last years highlights to know what’s going on this season. Monteith seems to have a gorilla grip on the 3/8 mile concrete track and doesn’t look to be letting up. He picked up his second win in the three races this season and is on track to win more than he did a year ago.

1 – CE Falk III
There’s not much bad you can say about CE Falk and his EF Motorsports team, well unless you count their ability to keep the exhaust on the car, but no one cares about that when the car is sitting in victory lane after starting shotgun on the field. Falk dominated qualifying to win the pole, then felt the exhaust come loose on the parade laps and got it taken off before taking the green flag starting 22nd. He then made a joke of the rest of the field and proved why he’s more the ready to take the place of last years dominators, Lee Pulliam and Philip Morris, who aren’t racing yet this season for different reasons.
