DENVER, NC :: Lee Faulk Racing and Beak Built Chassis have formed a partnership making them the first cross genre driver development program. The newly formed alliance will enable LFR to offer both asphalt and dirt development programs.
NASCAR Cup Series driver and Beak Built owner David Reutimann will run the dirt development program while the asphalt program will continue to operate as it has been for the past 8 years.
The Beak Built program will field dirt modified cars at various tracks on the east coast of the United States and qualified drivers will be under the guidance of Reutimann as they learn car control on a level that cannot be attained on asphalt alone. Having the option to get seat time on dirt is invaluable to young drivers with aspirations of becoming a star in the upper ranks of NASCAR. Now there is a program that allows young talent to make a seamless transition from dirt to asphalt while staying within the same organization.
“We are very happy to join forces with David and Beak Built. He has been very successful in a short amount of time in building his business. Our families have been close for many years and there’s nobody else that I would make this commitment with. It is becoming more important for young drivers to have experience on both dirt and asphalt while climbing the ladder to NASCAR. For some, it gives them the edge they need and we are proud to be the first to offer it on this level,” Faulk said.
Both organizations are at the top of their game, collecting numerous wins and championships over the past 40 years and will bring a high level of veteran leadership enabling the team to drastically shorten the learning curve of up and coming talent.
Beak Built was founded by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, David Reutimann in 2013. Beak Built specializes is building ground up dirt modified race cars and has been very successful in their first year of business accumulating 11 wins already while earning a large part of the market in that short amount of time. The Reutimann family has dirt modified roots that go back decades. David’s father, Buzzie has hundreds of wins under his belt and David has also had his fair share of success on dirt. The experience and knowledge that Beak Built brings to the table is unparalleled in the sport.
