Manassas, VA(May 10, 2011) — Everybody beat Mother Nature, but Dustin Storm beat the whole field leading every single lap in Saturday Night’s 75 lap late model feature at Old Dominion Speedway.

The best battle on the track all race was for second. Davey Callihan managed to make his car wide enough to hold off David Polenz, Brandon Brown and Doug Liberman. At times, it appears Polenz would be able to get around Callihan, but Callihan was able to hold him at bay.

“I’m not sure what was going on behind me to be honest,” Storm said in victory lane. “Our car was really good, I mean if we have a car like that each and every week, it’s going to be a pretty awesome year, I’ll tell you that. To be honest, this is one of the best cars I’ve ever driven. You can’t ask for more when it does everything you need it to do. We’re happy, we got our first win but we’ve still got a big hole to dig out of so we’ll be here each and every week doing what we need to do.”

When asked if he thought his cars would this good all season, Storm said, “No doubt, I mean we had a lot better car here tonight and it showed.”

“We had a good car, it started getting loose toward the end of the race but we still held on to second so we had a good night, Callihan said on his best career Old Dominion Speedway late model finish. When asked if he was any closer to getting that elusive first victory, Callihan said, “I can smell one coming real soon.”

“I think we would’ve had something to catch (Storm), the Gazzu Chevrolet was really fast. It was a good race, we put on a heck of a show, I’ve got tire marks all over the car and orange all over my front bumper from Callihan but we had a good race. I just wish we could’ve done a little bit better but we gave it all we had.”

“I think we would’ve had something to catch (Storm), the Gazzu Chevrolet was really fast,” David Polenz said after his third place finish. It was a good race, we put on a heck of a show, I’ve got tire marks all over the car and orange all over my front bumper from Callihan but we had a good race. I just wish we could’ve done a little bit better but we gave it all we had.”

“The car was great and it handled really well,” said Brandon Brown after his fourth place finish. “We set it up well, the car was just a little tight. After I got up to Polenz, I got on top of him and knocked the toe-in out a little bit. Maybe if I was able to get by him a little sooner, we would’ve definitely had something for (Storm). A late race caution would’ve helped amazingly but luck didn’t happen that way and we ended up fourth tonight. Still a great run for the Brandon Brown Foundation Impala SS.”

The race was slowed by only one caution on lap 30 when Dave Daniels spun after trading a little paint with Adam Brenner.

Next weekend, the Tornados 100 powered by On The Run will feature a $2,000 to win and $1,000 runner-up purse on top of the regular race day winnings.
