PELETIER, NC – Hampton Heat 200 winner Connor Hall paced practice at Carteret County Speedway on Saturday as he chases another $10,000 payday in Sunday’s Solid Rock Carriers 150.
Hall ran a 16.579, the fastest recorded lap during three practice sessions on Saturday, a time nearly two-tenths of a second quicker than Brandon Clements, one of Carteret’s most prolific racers. In all, most of the 14 cars that took time on Saturday were all within two-tenths of a second of Clements and a half second of Hall.
While Hall is fast on the speed charts, many of Carteret’s competitors, such as Clements, feel like they’ll have better long run speed during Sunday’s race, which will be run in the heat of the day on the hot, slick Carteret County Speedway surface.
Sunday’s Solid Rock Carriers 150 will commence at 2pm.
