CHARLOTTE, NC :: McCallister Precision Marketing (MPM) and Nesbitt Racing Enterprises announce the signing of 13 year old Cole Glasson to run a full 13 race schedule behind the #12 ProSoap / AM Technical Solutions machine in 2014. Cole will run the entire season in the Southeast Super Truck series along with teammate 17 year old Taylor Nesbitt. The series will see eight different racetracks across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee to include the famed racetracks of Kingsport and Hickory Motor Speedway.
Cole comes off his first half season of running late models where he competed in the JEGS/ CRA All Star Tour last year making 7 starts in the 400 horsepower machines. During this time, he gained valuable experience and knowledge that the new team feels will carry over into this year. Glasson says the opportunity to test and race at least 28 times this year is not something he takes lightly.
Glasson stated, “I am so thankful for the opportunity this year to run a full season and get the valuable seat time I need. I am also excited to have Taylor with me this year. Having the chance to learn first-hand, from a more experienced driver like Taylor and having a full team, crew, driving coach, and agent at every race, is going to be very beneficial. I can’t wait to get the season started.” He went on to thank his main financial sponsors of ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions as well as his many other sponsors K1RaceGear, Frozen Fire, Dallas Karting Complex, Comet Cleaners, R and B Transport Graphics, and Tyler Web Design. “I cannot thank ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions enough for their continued support in 2014, and we look forward to a great season.”
Tonya McCallister, Glasson’s agent, states “After making much progress getting Cole noticed last year, which led to several different options for this year, we felt strongly that the Nesbitt Racing team offered the best possible scenario for Cole. We are thrilled to have signed the full season this year.” In hopes of translating into some good results this year, Cole will return to the #12, a number he carried during his entire karting career. Martin Nesbitt, Team owner, went on to say, “Cole has already tested with us at Anderson Motor Speedway, and our entire team was impressed with how well he drove and improved throughout the test. Despite less than ideal conditions, he was running some impressive times. I feel like I’ve got two of the best young talents in the area and we are thrilled to death to have the opportunity to work with them. We look forward to a great season fielding both Taylor and Cole.”
