McCallister Precision Marketing (MPM) and Nesbitt Racing Enterprise announce continued success for 13 year old Cole Glasson in the third point’s race of the Southeast Super Truck Series at Lonesome Pine Raceway.

Cole showed up leading the Rookie title race by eleven points and looked to build on the early season success.  During practice, Cole quickly picked up the racing line, gained speed each time out, and consistently ran in the top 10 in times. However, his qualifying time was only good enough to put him in the 10th spot in a tight field of veteran drivers.

At the green flag, Cole wasted no time moving up positions and finding himself in a lead pack of six drivers that started pulling a gap from the rest of the field. Cole would run as high as 4th position through several cautions and looked to be in a good position for another solid top 5 finish. However, with 18 laps to go, the lead pack was involved in an on track incident that sent several trucks to the pits and would unfortunately end Cole’s night with heavy rear end damage.

Although he would record his first DNF of the year, he was still able to finish in 10th and record his fourth straight Top 10 finish, continue to lead the Rookie of the Year race, and move into 2nd place in the Series Championship. While still a long way to go, the team feels good with Cole’s results thus far.

Glasson stated, “Although I am extremely disappointed with my finish, the weekend was still a success from point’s perspective. The crew gave me a great truck and we really felt we had another strong finish shaping up. Unfortunately, our night ended early.” He went on to thank his main financial sponsors of ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions as well as his many other sponsors K1RaceGear, Dallas Karting Complex, Comet Cleaners, R&B Graphics, and Real Sports Websites. “I cannot thank ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions enough for their continued support in 2014, and we look forward to building on the results at the next race at Tri-County Raceway in another week.”

Tonya McCallister, Glasson’s agent, states “While we are disappointed with the results, we once again proved we are a contender each week to run up front and battle for a great finish.” Martin Nesbitt, Team owner, went on to say, “Both our drivers had some bad luck this weekend but battled hard and we are confident the hard work will pay off throughout the season.”
