FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Winston-Salem, NC(May 30, 2012) — The last four weeks have seemingly crept by for Ronnie Bassett, Jr. and his Bassett Racing team, since he won at Kingsport Speedway and had the win taken away over a rules infraction on May 4th.

Though, Ronnie, Jr. and his team still disagree with the UARA-STARS Series officials over the rules infraction, the team still has its sights set on winning the series championship. That quest for Ronnie, Jr. starts with returning to a track that he has visited victory lane at twice and looks to win at for a third straight time.

“I’m excited about getting back to Anderson,” said Ronnie, Jr. “Anderson is where I got my first UARA win and we’ve won both the races we’ve competed in down there. I can’t wait to get back down there and see if “Tic Tac”(Chris Lawson, his crew chief) has us a car anywhere near what we had in both races last year. I’m sure he will and I’m ready to do my job for 150-laps.”

Ronnie, Jr. is also ready to put the whole mess at Kingsport Speedway behind him and focus on the next month of racing, which will be a busy one.

“We can’t worry about Kingsport, because we can’t change it anyways. All we can do is put that behind us, not think about it and go about doing our jobs and getting ready for Anderson, then Newport and then Kingsport. June is a busy month for the series with three races coming up in the next 23 days.”

Ronnie, Jr. and his team are certainly ready for the task and after testing at Anderson last Friday evening, the young driver feels pretty good about his chances.

“The test last week was pretty solid,” continued Ronnie, Jr. “We knew where we needed to be there going in with our success last year, so we think that what we had last week will be pretty good. “Tic Tac” is working pretty hard to find a little something extra, so we can come out of the box stronger than ever though.”

If you’re in the Anderson, SC area on Friday, then be sure to stop by the track located just over in Williamston, SC. The race starts at 8:00pm, but if you can’t make it there are plenty of options to keep up with your favorite driver.
