Client PR Report

Troy, NC(October 15, 2012) – Tommy Lemons, Jr. has picked up four trophies already this season, but he’s hoping to add a grandfather clock to his collection this weekend.

Lemons like all the top Late Model Stock Car competitors will compete in Sunday’s Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300 at Martinsville Speedway. Last year, Lemons finished 18th in Late Model Stock Car racing’s biggest event. Lemons was seventh fastest during open testing earlier this month, clocking a 20.591 second lap and hopes to translate that into a solid performance.

“We have a really good car for Martinsville,” Lemons said. “Our car was good in testing and we think it’s definitely good enough to contend for the win. We need things to play out in our favor but I’m definitely confident we have the car and the team that’s capable of getting the job done.”

Lemons has four wins on the 2012 season; two wins at Motor Mile Speedway and two wins at Caraway Speedway. Now, the 25 year-old driver seeks to add a Martinsville victory to his resume and a grandfather clock in his home.

“It would be awesome to win at Martinsville,” Lemons said. “It’s the biggest race of the year and we’d really like to make a statement by beating all the best in the business.”

The Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300 goes green on Sunday, October 21, 2012. You can follow along at RACE22.com.
