Event PR Report
Mooresville, NC (Jan. 24, 2012) — Pre-consigned regular lots for the auction portion of the Charlotte Racers Expo have officially sold out as of Tuesday morning, according to event officials. Rolling stock items such as cars, toolboxes, trailers and more are still being taken at this time.
“Every day it seems like another two dozen people are calling me with pre-consignments,” laughed Larry McDaniels of the Charlotte Racers Expo. “Unfortunately, we only have so much time on Friday and Saturday. No one wants to be there until the wee hours of the morning, and by limiting the lot numbers we ensure that everyone has a quality experience.”
A wide array of items have been consigned including both dirt and asphalt cars, rear ends, motors, motor parts, seats, wheels, suspension pieces, tools and more. A number of the items have come from exhibitors who have chosen to liquidate overstock at the auction.
“There’s a lot of really quality equipment here,” said McDaniels. “Keith Norville, our auctioneer, will have his hands full with people placing bids on this stuff. I expected a lot of interest in the auction portion of this, but nothing like we have seen so far. It’s absolutely mind-blowing.”
The Charlotte Racers Expo features both an auction and trade show for new parts and equipment with manufacturers, retailers and other racing-related businesses displaying and selling their latest merchandise. The auction features quality pre-owned equipment from other teams, businesses and racers.
Doors open at 2pm on Friday and the event closes at 8pm. A special Charlotte Racers Expo concert at Puckett’s Farm Equipment starts at 9pm Friday night. On Saturday, everything starts at 9am and runs until 7pm. A special marketing and sponsorship seminar begins at 6:30 on Saturday night at the Comfort Suites, the host hotel for the Expo. Pre-registration is required for the seminar and can be done on the Charlotte Racers Expo website.
To pre-consign rolling stock items, sellers can call 704-402-4319. Admission to the event is only $10 with $5 coupons available at racing businesses across the region. Ladies and children 12 and under are admitted free. For more information on the event, visit CharlotteRacersExpo.com.
