The 2018 CARS Tour Schedule was released on Friday evening in South Boston, VA ahead of tomorrow’s 2017 CARS Tour season finale at South Boston Speedway.  The schedule consists of 11 Late Model Stock Car races and nine Super Late Model races with some events taking place on the same weekend at different venues while some will be joint events just as in the past.

Four tracks highlight the new tracks set to host Late Model Stock Car only shows including the quarter-mile Wake County Speedway in Raleigh, NC, 4/10 mile Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, NC, 4/10 mile flat Carteret County Speedway in Swansboro, NC and 3/8 mile Kingsport Speedway in Kingsport, TN.

Those four tracks have a lot of buzz surrounding them being added to the schedule as it’ll be the first appearance for the CARS at all four unique venues.

Another race that will have a lot of hype is the Throwback 276 which will take place at Hickory Motor Speedway once again but this time on August 4th.  The event was the marquee event for the series last year with a near sell-out crowd at Hickory and a lot of social media buzz surrounding the event which featured throwback paint schemes on most all the cars in both the Late Model Stock Car and Super Late Model divisions.

CARS Tour already announced they would kick off their season with a $10,000 to win Late Model Stock Car race at Tri-County Motor Speedway on March 10th.  A test (testing isn’t allowed at this track normally) will take place on March 3rd.
