On Friday evening, the CARS Tour quietly released their 2020 Late Model Stock Car and Super Late Model schedules after an evening of practice at Orange County Speedway ahead of tomorrow’s Mid-Atlantic Classic.

The series will basically have a repeat of this season on the Late Model Stock Car side with the opener for both series coming at Southern National Motorsports Park on March 7th. Both of those races will once again be $10,000 to win each.

The series then heads to Hickory Motor Speedway on March 21st before coming to Orange County Speedway for the Second Annual Old North State Nationals on April 4-5th. The race is once again slated to pay $30,000 to win.

Ace Speedway, Langley Speedway, Dominion Raceway, Carteret County Speedway take the series from May to the end of July before the Throwback 276 race returns to Hickory Motor Speedway on August 1st.

Another $10,000 to win Late Model Stock Car race has been set for next years Mid-Atlantic Classic at Orange County Speedway on August 22nd with South Boston Speedway once again closing the season but much earlier on September 12th instead of their traditional November date.

The most notable exception to the schedules is the absence of Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, VA. The track was shuttered at the end of the 2017 season before reopening this season to a much larger crowd and stronger car counts. The CARS Tour event was a success for the series according to Chris Ragle, who was happy with the ticket sales during a CARS Tour Report podcast on RACE22.com earlier this year. It’s unknown the reason the series won’t return but it is also unclear whether enough gains were made this season to keep the track open for 2020.

The Super Late Models run a similar schedule to 2018 but have added a July 4th event at Jennerstown Speedway paying $20,000 to win. Both series schedules say that the schedule might be expanded to add more events.
