MARTINSVILLE, VA – Brandon Pierce outdueled Layne Riggs to score the victory in the third heat race at Martinsville Speedway, punching his ticket into the big show on Saturday night.
Super Late Model standout Bubba Pollard finished eighth, transferring him into the feature race for the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 in his first ever Late Model Stock Car start. CE Falk finished third in the race in a thrilling duel for the position with reigning race winner Timothy Peters.
Pierce won over Riggs, CE Falk, Timothy Peters, Peyton Sellers, Woody Howard, Mason Diaz, Pollard, Bobby McCarty and Thomas Scott.
