Brad Allen has resigned as the General Manager at Ace Speedway, sending this letter out moments ago:
To all concerned,
As of December 7th, I will no longer continue a working relationship with Abraham Woidislawski, owner of Ace Speedway, subsequently resigning from the position as General Manager of the facility. The decision is based solely upon philosophical differences between ownership and operations, a challenge that has proven most difficult to overcome.
The past 3 years have provided an experience that I am truly grateful for. I appreciate the opportunity given from Mr. Woidislawski to lead Ace Speedway towards a more respected position within the racing community. I am also thankful for the numerous friends, relationships, and memories formed with fellow staff and co-workers, without whose efforts and contributions our attempts to succeed could not have been possible.
Foremost, I must commend the drivers, teams, and sponsors for their support. The race track has certainly enjoyed a rich history of compelling action over the last 56 years and I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of preparing weekly shows for the men and women that chose to compete here during my tenure. The opportunity to plan and promote these events would not have been possible without the support of our many sponsors and partners that provided the platform to operate in a difficult economic climate.
In closing, I would be remiss not to thank the thousands of fans and families that made Friday nights in Altamahaw so very special. The passion and energy produced in the stands as a result of the entertainment provided on the track will serve as a fond memory of a place I have the utmost respect for. My goal was to find out if the hair could still stand up on your arms when you pulled into the race track…..mission accomplished.
