PUNTA GORDA, FL – Becca Monopoli is a force to reckon with at Three Palms Speedway.

Monopoli already has a win and a second place finish at the reopened track. The track hosted the Southern Pro Am Truck Series Saturday night July 11th. She added to that total with a decisive victory.

Monopoli started on the pole in her Q Auto and Injury sponsored Chevrolet and checked out on the field. She was in another time zone by the time the caution flew on lap 25 of the 50 lap event.

The caution came out when the 99 truck of Cody Martell spun. The caution closed up the field and gave everyone a chance at Monopoli.

“Long hot race at Three Palms Speedway with a bunch of cautions and lap trucks,” Monopoli said in a Facebook post after the race.  “Qualified pole and started straight up. Went on to lead all 50 laps to the win. Thanks to my sponsors Q Auto & Injury Attorneys and Draco Springs and all the fans for your support.”

Steven King was on the move. He started dead last. His qualifying time was disallowed and he had to start at the back. He was up to second when the caution flew.

As they say, “cautions breed cautions”. The yellow flag flew several more times giving King plenty of opportunities to get around Monopoli over the last several circuits.

At the line Becca Monopoli opened up a straight away lead over Steven King who was second. Derek Pugh, who also went to the back after a spin, was third. Randy Leonard in his Alan Jay Automotive Group Chevrolet came home fourth. Cody Martell was fifth.

Brian Hillyer, David Patterson, Rich Cordis, Taylor Moxley and Paul Grynewicz rounded out the top ten.

In other action, TQ Midgets saw Mike Belusar from Punta Gorda continue his winning ways at Three Palms Speedway. He charged up through the field after several cars had issues through the evening. He also bounced off the back stretch wall with several laps remaining. He said in victory lane, “I tried to give it away there at the end.”

Points leader Rob Kohler broke the left rear axle in qualifying action and was done for the evening. He held on for his wild ride he took in turns one and two.

“Hollywood” Mike Nelson broke a bolt in the steering arm ending his evening.

Following Belusar across the line was Ernie Teed Jr, Sam Mancuso and Scott Roboski.

Dwarf car feature saw Andy Pryor lose the handle on his car with three laps remaining. Larry Hubbard III took advantage of his misfortunes taking the checkers.

Larry Hubbard Jr. finished second. Tom Pryor was third. Andy Pryor came back after several more spins trying to get the win. He finished fourth. Ray Grogales Jr brought home the fifth spot.

Jarrott Reynolds crossed the line first in the Outlaw 4’s feature. Mark Milthaler and Megan Hirschy completed the top three.

Three Palms Speedway will be back in action this Saturday evening.
